It is loyal to the riparian at its downstream exit from the Park onto
private property.
It could be heard at a distance. At least 14 birders have seen it,
images of this bird and will post a link to them on
his photo site when he finds time. I am eager to hear other opinions and
comments about this tentative ID.

PS Both the Latin name Caprimulgidae and the vulgar name, goat sucker,
come from the explanation goat-herders used when
separating white from black on the Eastern WPW.
I am getting convinced that ID is Eastern Whip-poor-will.
