All,
Yesterday my family and I decided to go out to Dixon Reservoir for
spring migrants. Nothing much besides an early Lincoln's Sparrow
originally found by Brad Biggerstaff. We then headed out to the
grasslands and Crow Valley Campground. Not many birds but I am sad to
say a tree with a cavity whe
all were calling to each other)
Timnath Res.:
300 Red-winged Blackbirds (all calling)
1 Snow Goose (East Side)
1 Say's Pheobe (on the road running on the south side of the Res. by
the golf corse)

1 Peregrine Falcon
Spring is definitely in the air

Goldeneye
The possible Icelands Gull was on the East side of the reservior both
in air and in the water. The possible Icelands Gull was really
noticeable because of its smaller size and white to brown wing tips,
it took of with a flock of Herring and Ring-billed Gulls.

just north of the turn off to Lory State Park at a little pond
surrounded by catails and aquatic plants. Just play ethier call for
the rail and then the marsh wren will get mad at the rail.

To pos
Today we had some pretty stunning birds around Ft. Collins. Even
though it is Easter and I have a hairline fracture in my leg we
continued with our Easter birding tradition.
Duck Lake:
1 Forster's Tern
1 White-faced Ibis
8 Marbled Godwits
3 Pelicans
1 American Avocet
1 Great-tailed Grackle

to be Pine Warblers. We ran home past a pare of
Bushtits with nesting material in it's mouth. Once we returned we saw
to birds fly past one Pine Warbler and one unidentafied bird with
yellow on it. So I believe that the mistery bird was the other mystery
Pine Warbler.

All,
For such a big report I feel the need for asking other possibilities
besides such a rare bird for this area. I can tell it is not a Junco
from comparing the two calls and I can't think of anythings else so if
anybody has any suggestions I am all ears.

Today at 11:30 I was walking down my street (Coronado) when I heard
the Pine Warbler singing in a crabapple tree. After hearing his
beautiful call a song rings through the neighborhood identical to the
first one from the Pine Warbler the sound did not come from the Pine
Warbler I was watching and c
nter we did get pictures also
