which is well on it's way to ruining my weekend. For some reasons which I
have not been able to figure out, and as of this writing have not seen in
the archives, SMTP is hanging upon connect. This is a brand new install
of
an example of a working ldap output? this would be
greatly appreciated.

After the sanity check it spews a bunch of LOGIN/LOGOUT lines followed
by the error below:

I don't think it can, by design. That's why IMAP was created. Why not use
IMAP on the desktop client and set your filters in webmail? You'll kill all
