Anyone had issues with Delphi software on server 2019?
I have some software that is having issues on a server:
a.. Delphi 2007 calling win32 standard call CopyFile(Pchar(sourcefile),
PChar(Destfilename), False) is failing on some larger files with file not
found – it does not copy the file
calls because its run out of
memory – Teams seems to be the worst offender. Actually SSMS is pretty bad
too – notice a pattern?

My most recent serious DB work was using standard IB components to open two
embedded Firebird databases and ADO to use MSSQL DB, and using TCLientDataSets
to merge data from all of them. There has always been a reasonable number
of good options of what component sets to use – even the old

option gets compiled like a case statement, which minimises the number of
comparisons made.

review. It looked good, clear and informative and light on resources. When
the free trial expired I read reviews on www.av-test.org, where of the free
ones Avira scored top, better overall than Eset, Norton, AVG.
The latest version of Sysinternals Process Explorer contains an option to
check virus totals for running processes (and also to verify signatures).
Must submit files to multiple AV checkers, as gives totals such as 0/54 for

onclick event fires with the mouse, or on moving with the arrow key (D2007).

I work with a Dev a PC with Win 7 Pro 32 bit with Delphi 5 and BDE (along
with XE5).
Delphi 5 and BDE installs and runs fine, with the following oddity - have
found that have to leave the BDE open when developing in D5 in order to not
have some of the database servers/databases not disappear.
Another strange issue – tidying up source in D2007 before moving to XE5, and
the debugger for D2007 is not working on WIndows 8.1 64 bit – the reason is the
output folder which is set correctly in the project for the .EXE file is being
ignored when building and running – the EXE file ends up in

Otherwise I would press the PrtScr button and paste the image into whatever
paint or image program you use (Paint or IrfanView etc) and select the part of

Hi options could be: install a PDF printer, (ie a virtual printer that
creates PDFs when printed to from any program) such as DoPDF or PDFCreator
(have used both).
(Also Rave reports in Delphi and other report writers also can create PDFs
as an output option directly - works well.)

Incidentally you may be better to use
screen.WorkAreaWidth and screen.WorkAreaHeight etc as this takes out the
space used by the task bar if applicable.

to other update mechanisms right though the code is more than the bother of
using the BDE.
Personally I rather like the BDE type of operation, simple and reliable and
compares well to ADOQuery and IBQuery. What do others think?
