hinting, too. Should Cleartype (Windows)/sub-pixel
hinting (and what level) (Linux) be enabled or not? Subpixel hinting
looks bad in print, on CRTs or on LCD screens that use a different
sub-pixel ordering, but is much smoother on R-G-B LCD screens.

Hi,
As it was explained at the conference, the code used in one will be used in
the other, so we won't have two suites. As for UI improvements we need to
make them in an incremental way. No one will change the UI overnight, it
simply is not realistic.
The problem is that mobile platforms use
blog post announcing those ports that
will become products sometimes in late 2012 or early 2013. I find
this ambitious, but I won't deny the necessity of these ports. That's
all.

- Using different letters creates words. I noticed this in my Citrus UI
mockups -- B for bold, I for Italic, L for Line, C for color, and
H for highlight put next to each other make me read it as bilch, which
is quite close to an English swear.

Sure, we then have a slightly less crowded status bar, but on the
other hand LibO's scrollbar will be shorter and less useful (cf.
horizontal scrollbar in Calc).

either copy/paste the pieces we like from others (it still need s to
be conherent) or need to adapt a pre-existing one that covers what we
