Hi,
i recieved my new SB3 wireless yesterday but am having problems
connecting it to my wireless network! :-(
I read the postings on the subject but didnt solve it yet.
When i configure the SB to connect to my router (Linksys WPG624v3) it
connects to the wireless but i can see in the routers

Thanks to all who've weighed in on this thread. I have adopted the turn
Slimserver off/manage iTunes/turn Slimserver on approach. I still see
the occasional runaway case, but restarting the service seems to clear that.

total of 12 seconds...
However SlimServer is still doing something (not showing in the d_scan
log). Then at 09:52:20 it seems it started scanning my playlists once

If they do attack this I would strongly recommend they try to have some
way of storing the ssh private key in the SB. Maybe in a firmware load
or something.

stream and may not require that much work.
If the manufacturer were to install the same Ubicom IP3023 processor
and Xilinx CPLD that Slim uses in the Squeezebox, I would guess that

I have two different music directories: Lossless and Lossy all under my
main Music directory. I store my lossless music in my Lossless folder
and created a shortcut to my mp3 folder under Lossy. For some reason

Found out how to start the server as a normal program, so I could get a
full logfile. This logfile showed me that the album in question was
scanned twice. First scan came from a Playlist, and the second scan
came from the physical folder.

Is there a quick way to clear all songs in a playlist -except- the

I often find myself wanting to dump a long playlist and start over, but
I'd rather make it a smooth transition at a track boundary.

I'd LOVE to use the MusicMagic plugin but unfortunately they don't have
a version that runs on my Linkstation (only x86) so I have to use the

hard drive. Some went into existing artist folders, and some were new
folders. There's only one folder in the new drive, named FLAC Files.

I'm pretty sure it can't because I don't think you can load anything on
its hard disk except music. And to stream to the SB you need to run
slimserver.

First off, Softsqueeze is just awesome. We have gotten so used to the
UI of our Slimp3's, that it's nice to be able to mimic this on the pc
side.
Next, one tip. I found that when running a certain program, myhtpc,
and trying to start softsqueeze, that it didn't get focus properly.
The fix was
Incredibly expensive for what you get. You can assemble a comparable
Squeezebox based system for much less and it will be more customizable
and upgradeable in the future. The internal hard drive is also going to
be noisy, despite their claims of it sitting on a 8x bearing whatever
that is :-)
