Powerline ethernet is generally more reliable than wirless as it is less suseptable to outside interference. Actual performance however can vary a lot depending on the configuration of your mains layout. Having said this though, even poorly performing powerline ethernet should be able to handle

I use the higher end Netgear powerline adapters (the '200 MB' ones that can do HD video speeds). I have my Duet Receiver connected to one, works perfectly. I agree with the other comment that you shouldn't need the high end ones I'm using for the SB (I already had them from another experiment).
