If you don't have an SB Radio and you don't connect directly to mysqueezebox.com (formerly squeezenetwork.com) then you don't have to upgrade to 7.4.x. You can keep running 7.3.x on the QNAP, and as long as you connect to MySB.com through the QNAP, you don't have to upgrade the SC/SBS on the QNAP

I had a similar problem in that my duet upgraded to the latest version about a month ago but my QNAP was still at 7.3.x. In the end I had to reprogram my controller using an SD card. Then when SSOTS had been updated to handle 7.4, I tried it on my QNAP and it works without any problems. Before
