I've never quite figured out why the Save Download Clear buttons are on
the scrolling frame. It's been a (very) minor annoyance since I first got my
Squeezebox. To me, they should obviously be on the (non-scrolling) frame
above. I'm sure there must be a dusty enhancement bugette thingy for this

extension. They were named .Flac instead of .flac.
Changing the extension to all lower-case solved the problem... should
this be added as a bug?

A 6 disc RAID is never likely to be quiet (!), but smaller requirements
can be done quietly. I'd recommend the Seagate Barracudas - my main
desktop has 3 of them, and is virtually silent, my new slimserver box
has a couple and is pretty damn quiet (still working on it!).

This morning I woke up and turned on SB2. Everything appeared to be
fine. I navigated to TopHits, pressed the right arrow, and got
Connecting to SlimServerÂ… and then Could not connect. So I walk
across the house to my PC and the tray icon says SlimServer is stopped.

OK, so the files you have tested it with are not known good (in fact,
they're quite unusual being such a low bitrate). I recommend you get a
more conventional test file (rip or download a 128kbps mp3) and try
that. Also, you don't mention if you've tried the analogue outs from
the SB - try that.

factoring down into your library (split in half, scan each half, try
again with the half that crashes, keep going until you find where it
crashes).

Basically the SB2 needs to know the MAC address of the server it is
trying to Wake and then Broadcast a magic packet (the MAC address *16
times) on the subnet.
To clarify, in my case every song on every album is duplicated. It
shows that I have 1155 songs when in fact I only have half that
number.

It's not that uncommon. The main reason is probably that it's the
standard tagging format in foobar2000. And its rising popularity is
even mentioned in the wikipedia article! ;-)

I run slimserver on a pc attached to a 42 plasma - the only skin that
is really viewable is dark . In other respects i cant say i like it
that much. I do like Fishbone and have got an okish screen using
firefox and the enlarge option - not perfect though and (unless its me)
no way to see the

a hard reset - unplug the SB and hold down Add as you plug it back in.
