There are several sources for the gap.
There are several encoders of MP3s, not all support gapless in the same
way, and some not at all. Older versions of encoders that now support
Internet radio is still in it's infancy.
Some radio stations seem to be unable to maintain a steady signal.
Some seem to move to a new location or a new broadcasting method every
month or so.
Keeping up is a significant task.

I am unable to stream Palm FM via my SqueezeBox 1. I am running on
version 6.5b2. I have already made the appropriate changes for AAC Plus
as per the Wiki and I now have AAC Plus streaming working fine on my
SqueezeBox.

Well, not so good news after all. After a few days, my Squeezeboxes
cannot find the network again. Does anyone one have any other
suggestions as to why all of a sudden none of my wireless Squeezeboxes
can find the wireless network when all my other wirless devices can?
