Sorry - that was a stupid observation by me...of course it is the C:\
drive that is being thrashed because that is where the SlimServer
database is - doh!

4) Firewall made no difference.
Maybe I just have to wait for a SS7 version?
Thanks

I wonder if the ODBC 3.5.1 driver is not compatible with the MySQL in
ss7?
The connect strings look fine (and identical) to me...

A little more info...the ODBC driver works OK in Control Panel - I can
configure it and connect to the slimserver database OK using the same
info as is in the connectstring in the script...very odd.

ain't what
a 3706 error when your script tries to read the recordset...?

Just to confirm I have the same problem as Phil - XP Pro and SC7 (latest
nightly).
Is the user still slimserver in SC7, I would imagine it is now
squeezecenter?
I think it still slimserver - or at least that opens a connection to
the database...

It works for me if I change the script UID to squeezecenter - all
other variables stay the same. In particular, database is still

Rats! - It still doesn't work for me and that would have been such a
simple and logical fix :o)

You want to see
instructions. The ODBC driver tested out ok in
control panel...but I still get a 3706 error in the script. This error
is generally something to do with the way that the ODBC drivers are
installed...so the problem may be unique to my PC.
I used Wordpad to edit the script.
Cheers

Is it something I've done wrong??
Thanks again...

is just plain silly?
But then again, I don't use iTunes or an iPod, mp3's or downloads
(except for the odd Linn album download which I treat just like a CD
rip).

There is no difference between leaving a PC on and leaving a NAS on.
They are (more or less) the same thing!

The Track 1 missing problem went away for me only after I had
re-tagged everything, deleted the cache and completely re-scanned.
After that it hasn't ever reappeared.
