You need to check the forums for Plex etc as general advice won't be

In short No I don't believe this is possible unless you can persuade
Google to implement NFS sharing (which they won't).
LMS scans the files on the server to build its database. The scanner
logic is based on normal local or network file paths. There is no way it
will be able to read the contents

I agree. I have run LMS on a LMS only pCp with NFS mount to my QNAP but

it down to the 100mb shared bus of the LAN on the Pi being a bit

Chromecast with plugin works exactly like a native Squeeze device and as

If you go HDMI -> TV you will get a now playing display on TV

I have just read through this thread.
There is no doubt that it is technically possible to take the audio from
any source and convert it by whatever means (wavinput is only one) to a
stream that LMS can read and play.
However if I read things correctly you want to see video in one place
and
The instructions for this went missing when VB forum went down. I have

1. Remove the VB LMS install
Code:
rpm -e --nodeps logitechmediaserver logitechmediaserver-CPAN

Where is LMS actually running ?
I have read through the thread and must assume its on a different
machine to the desktop and NAS that you refer to.
If I am right have a look at the path that LMS thinks the files are
stored at and try shelling onto the NAS directly from the LMS machine
using that

I disagree. The advent of CDs and now streamed albums has brought more

You can however use a 2 way USB sound card such as a Behringer UCA202
which will give you 16/44.1 in and out.
piCorePlayer will see the card as an output out of the box but you will
need to use additional modules which may not be available in pCp to get
LMS to hear its input

Given the work Michael has done on the Spotty plugin Spotify is the best
integration with LMS imho.
