I have three squeezeboxes. I'm happy with mine.
My attitude is that this is cutting edge technology that is a work in
progress.
The benefits far outweigh the idiosyncracies (spelling?).
As you use it, and use the pc interface too, things get easier.

It seems that logitech passed out some of these new units to some
existing customers as beta testers who apparently kept the secret till
the official announcement.
I would like to be on the beta tester list when the next iteration
appears three years hence :)

Other then new colors, I don't see any significant changes.
The interface seems to be some type of graphics interface rather than a
text based interface. I think this causes problems with zooming,
scrolling, separated buttons, etc.

I like that the squeezebox does not have a harddrive. I mainly use it
for the squeezenetwork, thus a harddrive is not required.
It thus uses less electricity and makes less (none) noise.

If it is Rhapsody that eventually goes, then Napster may have a
monopoly. Not good for the consumer if prices later rise. And as
mentioned earlier, not good for Logitech, to the extent it depends on
