I agree that there is no significant conflict here. The only outstanding question is where to host the documents. Settling that should not inhibit anyone from working on documents. One feature of the Apache governance method is that volunteers decide what will get done and how it will be done.

Impress guide

I'm going to start working on the Impress guide. The big items are replacing the outdated images and incorporating appropriate references to the Sidebar. I hope Michele will then be able to edit the text. The Calc guide has already been fully edited by Michele and I have reviewed those changes
