For several years, I've been thinking about making some organisational
changes to the Writer Guide, to better serve users.
First, I intend to move Chapter 10 (Templates) to be Chapter 8, just
after the two chapters on styles. The current Chapter 8 (Images) and
Chapter 9 (Tables) will become Chapte
I've replaced the GS5.1 ODT files on the wiki and the ODFAuthors
website with the "cleaned" files.
In the next day or two I will compile the full book and publish it.
I have started updating the Writer Guide from v4.2 to v5.2. This
includes some content improvement (rewording), updating to the v5

Dan, I've started going through this chapter and noticed that some of
the images have been linked instead of embedded. I don't have the
folder of images so I can embed them. Could you put the images on the
ODFAuthors website? Or I can list the missing images and you can
upload them. Thanks!

might never be available to users.
The Base Handbook also needs cleanup of styles, including replacement of
manual formatting with styles.
