Jim Yes you will need a different cable for the SL-USB to K3. I'm not aware of one available commercially, but it's not hard to make one. I recommend cannibalizing an old twisted pair Ethernet cable. That and a few connectors (for line in, line out, and PTT on the K3), and you'll be set.

Good choice. NO noise blanker here and none needed so I can't help with that. The K2 has one of the quietest receivers I have used and I like it. I have the 160 module and the ssb module and that's it. I mainly use mine for cw so the ssb is not a particularly needed item but from time to
