I started experimenting with WSPR over the weekend using my MacBook

No, you need to use the same offset values for the same filter position in
the main and sub receivers. If the marked offsets aren't too far apart, you
can use the average of the two values for both receivers. That works fine
for my 500hz and 200hz 5-pole filters.
