Hi Marc,
All speculation and conjecture on my part.
Looking at the block diagrams for the digital I/O boards looks like (a
total guess on my part) you are experiencing an issue related to the rig

many subloops).
I get the exact same thing. I ended up using the channel analogy and that
seemed to help. This radio does channels 2 and 70 (2m and 70cm for car)
which allows me to talk locally to my friends. The new radio does all of the
world wide channels and let's me make friends all over the world (show map

The 6T_2 voltage on the other side of R28 goes from 0v during receive then

going into oscillation. Everything else on the radio seems normal.
Any suggestions?I suspect a component in the audio amplifier. Does the
headphone jack take the audio signal before it hits the main audio amp?
I wish I had a set of circuit diagrams.

And too quiet!
It would not be advisable to operate a linear supply in close proximity to
the K3 or the K2. The resulting unwanted modulations have been discussed
previously.

ns, etc. One problem, of course, is
having the rig connected to the power line ground, which is on the opposite
side of the house, and you know how big the ground leads are that are run
through the house. RF pickup on the ground system is substantial.

lmart) and a good (DC) ground system, so that
I can continuously discharge myself before and while operating. The reason
for the ESD susceptibility of the K3 and K2 is flawed shielding design and
(apparently) lack of ESD mitigation in the circuitry/layout.

back MY K3. I checked
the serial number and sure enough the K3 I assembled found its way home. What
are the chances of that happening? Wayne and Eric I promise to not sin again
in the future or until you release the K4.

Regarding 3., I ordered one the first day that they became available and
have heard nothing yet as to when mine will be shipped.

Interesting comments. I was just wondering one thing, do you really haul
around 16 6v batteries in the back of your pickup? I calculate that is
almost a 1000 pounds of extra weight. Do you use a inverter then to get
120ac for your trailer or what?

the board. Does anyone have any
suggestions about how best to avoid inadvertently disconnection of wires when
putting in new batteries while, say, in the Amazon rain forest in Ecuador where
I'll be next month?
Thanks.
