Ok on that, I did check that in menu, re 'AUTO OFF', and it is and was set to 'infinite'. There is also an 'ALARM' parameter with beeps, that turns the KX3 on, not off. The beeps heard before off was intriguing. I didn't see any screen warnings at the Bezel. Thankyou On 1/12/20 12:58

Well, I opened the KX3, removed the top/bottom flex connector and the battery connector to give best access to J9 with the bottom removed and put aside. I cleaned up a fine iron, and re-soldered the four J9 connections to PCB, leaving the paddle fixed in place. I put it all back together,

Steve, Are you measuring with the amplifier connected? That could be a reason. Put in a plug with nothing connected and remeasure. Be careful with autoranging meters, they can fool you. Make certain you know what your meter displays for infinite resistance - it should be the same as shown
