My K3/100 has quite dirty transmit on 60m at 100W, I've sent a spectrum
analyzer plot to K3support for their thoughts. If anyone has access to a
spectrum analyzer and can check their K3/100 at the

As I am sure you all know...all the while that the good folks at
Elecraft have been shipping out these first 100 K3s, their manufacturing
operation (in house and outside assemblers) have been cranking out
boards and modules and filters, etc. It is decidedly NOT a serial
operation until the

heavy lifting is done by Barry N1EU. He has a newly
started section on roofing filters:
This is an internal gain calibration step that requires power to be set
at exactly 5.0 and 50 W respectively. There's no need for an accurate
wattmeter at this point. The K3's watt metering can optionally be
calibrated in a later step (CONFIG:WMTR).
We'll clarify this in the manuals.

Made a stupid mistake in my ALC comments though. It is the linear which
generates the negative ALC voltage (0 ~ -5V) and not the other way around as
I described. The K3 is set-up to receive a positive ALC voltage, which need
some external circuitry to adapt for a neg.
I re-did the XMIT GAIN. That was it. I had some trouble with the
firmware download prior to operating. I did not redo it after installing
the KPA3. All is well now. Thanks for all the relies.
