My thanks to Brian and Don for the prompt assistance.
You are precisely correct, my limits were caused by the dsp settings in
fldigi not those in the K3. Opening the limits in fldigi allowed a max
bandwidth of 150hz to 2850 hz.

I wish to be able to recieve and transmit using the WSJT-X JT65 + JT-9

Can anyone provide a working link to and/or a copy of the K3timewin

with RemoteHamRadio would require only a K3/0 mini which is a pretty
sweet deal.
Hopefully someone had already tested this system. I would rather not
have to buy a K3/0 Mini to test it. It is tempting though ..

I am working on remote control of my K3S in Data A mode. I was pleased to see
that a recent version of Win4K3 displays the ALC on transmit. I discovered
however that the mike gain control in Win4K3 does not control line in when

I was experiencing broadband noise on the spectrum generated from my RX I/Q

grounding, different USB adapters and cables, and ferrite toroids without any
success. All the gear is powered by battery.
I suspected a ground

to adjust my unit.

I just completed installation of a used KXFL3 into my recent model KX3
and discovered a few oddities.
My KXFL3 has 10 pins not 12 as in the original version and not 9 as in
the tuning noise mod. Was this an interim configuration? Did the
noise mod only cut two pins initially? It seems to work
My KX3 internal tuner works perfectly at transmit voltages above 10v. Below
that value it will initiate tuning but finish at an SWR of between 3 and 6.
When this happens if I connect my station 13.6v supply or an external 12v
battery supply it will immediately tune to the expected low SWR.
I have been down this route on numerous Macs under many versions of OS X. The
absolute "gold standard" is the Tripp-Lite Keyspan USA-19HS. They are
expensive but they just work on OS X. I keep them in stock for projects.
Available on Amazon.

more finely control the drive level.
This is likely to fix your problem at once.

I have tried but rig TX control is seriously broken for the K3 in WSJT-X on the
Pi. Online sources all point fingers at each other and I could find no
solutions. Flrig control works perfectly but NOT with WSJT-X. You might be
able to use VOX.

Last year you mentioned the availability of test firmware to improve the
ability of the KX3 antenna tuner to achieve a solution with low power. Did the
change succeed and is the firmware available?

Will the K4 panadapter be able to show the position of the manual notch? It
could be displayed as a different color background similar to how the receive

input to a minimum and gradually increase the KX3 gain and the ALC will appear.
You would think that high input would show max ALC bars but that is not how it
works. Same problem took me several hours to troubleshoot
A PX3 in like new condition with KX3 interconnection cable, power cable, and

Nothing to it, you will be done in no time. The right size screwdriver helps.
Also try not to get fingerprints on the screen side of the lens. Taking the
lens off to clean them is a bit annoying.

A classic problem. You have TOO MUCH input gain. Counterintuitively the KX 3
ALC will display nothing if over driven. Turn the input way down and then
increase in small steps. You will find the right setting to show ALC that way.

My setup is like yours and the response is exactly the same. Starting use on
fan speed 4 delays the temp rise for a short time. Mine has run many many
hours at temps up to 70 with no problems. Hottest on 20m and requires the
most drive on that band also.
