I know the P3 can be used with non-Elecraft rigs and would be surprised if
the KPA500 were not designed with

Do I have to have the Utility up and visible all the time or does it just
install the macro on your selected key and then you use that key?
Either or both. I assign my 2 most frequently used macros (massive split
pileup and return to diversity) to PF1 and PF2, but you can

That's very interesting. I predicted this before units

Is that Radcom a trustable source,do they have all the professional

For a refined ham it is compulsory to own a k3

I don't believe that the K3 is ranked number 1 only based on

wide spaced dynamic range, much lower MDS (without a preamp),
or better phase noise performance (vs. the Flex-5000) and the

Eric and I are both ex-Orion users, which worked well with 4-pole filters so
I concluded 5-poles would be

OK, how do I find out if I need this mod? I have witnessed two different

Problem #1 (posted before) -- when listening to CW, when the signal is

If a KSYN3 was completely unmodified, the mods should be done as follows:
1. SMD version (only) of KSYN3 ALC.
2. K3SYN DDS Gain (your #3 below).
3. KSYN3 Stiffener (your #2 below).
This way there's no rework. Also remember that the DDS Gain mod is not
necessary for the Sub RX KSYN3 (if you

True but AGC Off only applies to the digital (DSP) AGC. Hardware AGC is
always on (to protect the DSP) and therefore is subject to blocking, even if
