Hi Dick,
The KAF2 removes a lot of hf hash from the audio and makes listening
to SSB much nicer. An essential module I would say and many prefer
it over the more fancy and expensive KDSP2.

G'day Dean45,
I am not a number, I am a free man. For those who remember The
Prisoner.
Something I will be trying. SSB on the internal speaker is fine but
CW sounds horrible, perfectly OK in the phones and external speaker.
Looks like an opportunity for a retrofit part/kit.
How did you
G'day,
I use mode B in both my K2 and K3. However, If I try to use mode B
with my microHAM CW KEYER I usually end up messing it up and when
you mess up you worry about messing up so mess up even more! At
this point I give up. Fortunately the K3 enables me to plug in both
but I lose the
Good day,
I use MMVARI in Logger32 to work PSK31 (DATA A) and MMTTY for RTTY
(AFSK A).
Clicking on an RTTY spot the K3 correctly tunes to the RTTY. The
MMTTY, K3 tone frequencies and DUAL-PB have been matched.
However, I cannot find the correct set-up, if one exists, for
clicking on a PSK31
G'day,
No big deal but to avoid any confusion the archived mail quoted is
rather a hybrid, the analysis is my observations on reception of the
BA beacon.
Not been listening on 6M much just lately because the coax for the
beam has been diverted to a temporary 80M dipole, soon to come down.

G'day,
My AFSK A pitch is set to 1445Hz. MMTTY (in Logger32) is set to
default to 1445Hz.
When I start up MMTTY the frequency markers on the waterfall are
appropriate for 1445Hz paired tones. If I activate the DUAL PB
filter the filter is also matched to the tone pair.
If I change the K3
G'day,
Not so.
CONFIG: CW WGHT - Tap 1 for SSB +CW Allows CW in SSB mode using the
internal keyer.

G'day,
And remember that this isn't a once and for all time operation.
Components age and reference oscillators have long term drift.
Method 2 is easy to do.

Hi Tim,
Assuming you are only using the KAT3 A/B ports and not the RX ANT IN
jack on the KXV3A then the RX is already behind two stages of T/R
switching.
However, the Top Ten Devices A/B switch looks interesting.
Unfortunately the manual only gives figures for 30MHz.

G'day,
