which requires an antistatic mat.
I saw one of these in a catalog that came across my desk at work.
I have a K3 (1 of 2) that suddenly has lost all receive. I've checked
the obvious things.
- I'm not using the rx antenna
- I have antenna 1 selected and the coax is attached to it
- Diversity receive is turned off
I have disconnected all connections on the back of the rig. All I
I just upgraded one of my rigs from a KXV3A to a KXV3B.
This KXV3A will accept the internal 2 meter option, K144XV.
Includes the KXV3A, rear panel plate, TMP cable assembly and mounting
screws. The manual is available on line.
$95 shipped priority mail to USA.

Barry,
I have one as I needed a watt meter/swr meter to go in line with my
AL-1200 amp/K3-P3 combo.
I have another K3-P3 with a KPA-500/KAT-500, I didn't bother with the
monitor on this P3 as it's simply not needed as both the KPA-500 and
KAT-500 have watt/swr meters.
I'm still playing
I have a pair of 2.7khz filters available if anyone is interested. I
just replaced them with 2.8khz filters.
Make me a reasonable offer for both.

Joe, this is a tough question to answer. Hardware requirements are
driven by several things.
I was lucky and found a nice used Microham micro keyer 2r+ for less than
half of new. I really like it as it's very powerful (and trust me I am
no expert on the subject, I'm still learning). The
Bypass it.

I was wondering what others do when they add the KPA500 and they have the KAT3.
Do most just bypass it , or remove it and put the KANT3 module back in?
Thank you
I'd be a buyer.

I'm starting to get the bug to try something different and EME has
grabbed my attention.
I already have a couple K3's and would like to put one to use for EME.
Which is the better option the external 144mhz transverter or the
internal 2m option?
Thanks

measure near 1.0:1. All other bands show 1.0:1
while driving the amp. K3-A sees a 1.0:1 SWR on 40m while driving the
KPA-500.
Something is up with measuring SWR on 40m with K3-B, even after
calibrating the wattmeter.

I have a strange swr issue I'm trying to resolve.
I have two K3's for an SO2R setup, lets call them K3-A and K3-B. On 40
meters the swr that the K3 displays on K3-A indicates what is to be
expected 1.5:1 at 7.001 and 2.0:1 at 7.105, however on K3-B the K3
displays 1.0:1 at 7.001 and 2.7:1
I have the above cable for an Elecraft K3.
$45 shipped USA.

Larry,
The Microham mk2r+ will do exactly what you want to accomplish. If both
rigs are on the same frequency, neither will transmit.
It is, however, an expensive solution. I was lucky and picked up a used
one at a very good price.

I'm looking for a DB37-EL-K3R cable which uses the rear panel mic
connection of the K3.
If you have one please contact me.
Thanks
