Tom,
Sorry about Roland, I enjoyed his posts. I'm in Albany OR and building
EV's at Shift EV. Good luck with that classic car, keep us posted on your
progress.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for checking in.
Fire away, we probably can't help you with your uncle's car starting
sequence, but the actual designers of parts like the hairball are
occasionally on this list.
Great to keep a physical memory to your favorite uncle!

Hello all,
I am Roland Wiench’s nephew and I live in Hood River, Oregon. Roland was my
favorite Uncle and we worked on many projects together in my childhood.

Wow, I am almost always just a listener here, but I sincerely remember Roland’s

It would be ashamed to just scrap it.

David,
What sad news. I noticed that Roland hadn't posted anything recently but
thought he was probably busy with one of his projects. I have quite a
few of his old messages, including one from 2007 in which he carefully
explained how to spray some stuff on one of my chargers to reduce the
I wondered the same, thanks for letting us know. He was a major
contributor and helped a lot of people.

Yep, remember him well. Our conversations, his informative posts and his very
kind attitude toward newbies was a tribute to his character. Sorry to hear he
passed. Since my heart attack (thanks for the dietary advice Bob, LOL) I have
not been as active on the EVDL as in the past; been too busy
Roland always answered newbie questions that he had probably answered
many times before.
Rest in peace Roland.
