Think about changing the account before resetting the password.
There is a Q-article how to create a new exchange service account. If you
do this in a controlled way you should not have any trouble.
Then you decide to remove or modify the old exchange account.

Got a weird one here. To start with, I do have the necessary rights setup
on both the public folders and in the Events_Config for the server (owner of
both), I did let all the changes to replicate across the site and verified
it. I also do have the Server Scripting add-in checked in
