want as Windows 2000 contacts (ie, the E2K equivalent of custom recipients).
I realise I can export these from Outlook in .csv format, then import them

The problem was users lacking an SMTP address corresponding to the domain name which
the Exchange Server uses in its fully qualified name. With that added in, things work
normally and OWA for my problem users seems to function just fine.

Teach them ALL to use the Private setting for their calendar. This lets
them see their calendar true and complete. It Does not let others see what
they are doing, but shows them that they are not available during that
period.
I suppose they could set their free/busy to publish 0 (zero) months,
I used to get about 30,000 a day.. Got that down to 1000 now. And
sometimes I read those now.

etc. to a particular domain.
Auto Replies to the world are a bad idea in general, but particularly if
you are concerned about SPAM. Just think of an auto-reply as an
auto-confirm to the next piece of spam you receive. Spin
