the connection attempt in the machine that routes between our internal
network and the internet and the private interface doesn't have a default
route so it wouldn't know how to get out of 10.100.10.x anyway.

Could there not be a second account w/Send As permissions where the
@companyB address was the default for that account? I could then select that
account in the from field in outlook. I know I can do it under 5.5, but E2K

Make sure your IS deleted item retention is set correctly on the new server
before you do the move. I just lost my delete item restore ability since I
hadn't changed the default of 0. I've now changed the default.

After I hit send I came up with the solution. On the IMS there is a delivery
restriction tab, if I add the users that aren't allowed to send outbound
e-mail to the tab (or add a DL to the tab and the users to the DL) my
problem is solved.

Does anyone know if there is an API to allow me access to the rules the
rules wizard creates? I didn't see anything on CDOLive and I'm not sure if

What AV are you using? Most (all?) are capable of auto-update. I use
Symantec and grab updates 4 times a day automatically. Scanning mboxes is
automatic too. Patching servers doesn't take all that long. Cleaning up from
a hit, well that's another story, we've been lucky so far.
