Hey Jane - ]]\ I haven't used it in a year or two, so I'll have to check my dosage. I used instructions from the vet I got it from and used Tally's instructions at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/9352/interferon.html In fact it was originally Tally who promoted it's use here.

Dear all, a cautiously hopeful update from Michelle: Thank you all for praying! The internist just called, sounding rather surprised, to say that Patches' bilirubin is down to 2.2 (from 6.1), her PCV is at 20, she is bright, and she has started eating more on her own! They are hoping to send her

[Felvtalk] Off to the vet...

2008-08-14 Thread Jennifer
Taking my furbabies to the vet in about a half hour.  I'm nervous for the results of Morrison's and Isobel's FeLV test.  Ash is just getting his rabies shot because my vet won't neuter him without his rabies vax (and it's the only vaccine required by law in New Jersey).  I'm also talking to my

Morrison and Isobel are both FeLV NEGATIVE!  I was so happy when I found out!  Those were the longest 10 minutes of my life (the time it takes for the test results).  They both got their FeLV vaccine.  At first they weren't going to give Isobel one because she's pregnant (the vet confirmed) but

Good news about the test results. One suggestion though--contact this no-kill shelter RIGHT NOW! Most no-kills are always full up and you need to be absolutely sure they will take the kittens. Also, please check the shelter yourself to make sure its on the up and up. Ask what happens to

Good idea Chris.  Thanks for the advice.  I know of some other no-kill shelters in the area as well.  One is called Ron's Animal Shelter, which is where I got Morrison from years ago.  All they ask is that you donate a bag of cat or dog food if you're dropping off animals.  I've been there

There are pads that are washable (disposable is too expensive) that are used under people in nursing homes/hospitals. I bought a bunch of these when a most loved dog was having similar problems because of a terminal illness. I am lucky enough to have a washer and dryer available but

Hi Sherry, quick question...has she had an ultrasound of her bladder? Our Will Feral was recently dx'd with idiopathic interstitial cystitis (blood in urine off and on, peeing on the floor, straining at times, normal urine ph, no evidence of crystals, no infection, nothing on xray). He gets
