Hi Cassandra,
I can tell you by my recent experience with farm cats
that sometimes the momma is so thankful to be taken
care of and loved that the stress goes away quicker
than we think it will. I rescued 6 kittens and a
momma from a farm that sounds as bad as the one you
are describing...except
I am hoping that is true Phaewryn...the mom is a
wonderful kitty...just shy at first but she will need
someone to love her forever...not a sanctuary...

To be honest the ones I have fallen the hardest for I
found homes for already...my neighbor has stepped up
and will take 3 into her home...she has a cat already
but has said if any of them test positive she will get
the rest vaccinated...what a great person for taking

have a warning about the steroid shots...watch for
diabetic symptoms because they have been known to
cause it...more drinking, more peeing, weight loss...I

Like you, I am new to this as well. My friend and I
rescued a momma kitty with 6 kittens and a 6 month old
boy. The boy turned up negative but the momma turned
up positive. We were told by other rescuers to have
all of them PTS, but my friend and I just couldn't do
it. We didn't feel
loving guardian
at a time, one
educated vet at a time, we are making a difference
in our world.

What do you put on their eyes? I was told to use
neosporin and it will clear up their eyes and it has
worked wonders with my kittens...their eyes are as
clear as they should be...

an organization in Chicago will take in all of our
babies with the momma. They have a whole room

which are a smaller version of the Samoyed...they are
