Hi Cassandra,
I can tell you by my recent experience with farm cats
that sometimes the momma is so thankful to be taken
care of and loved that the stress goes away quicker
than we think it will. I rescued 6 kittens and a
momma from a farm that sounds as bad as the one you
are describing...except t
I am hoping that is true Phaewryn...the mom is a
wonderful kitty...just shy at first but she will need
someone to love her forever...not a sanctuary...

I think some of you will remember my story about the
momma and babies I rescued from an amish farm and the
mom was tested by a vet tech which said she has FeLV.
I posted on here for info. and so forth...well...we
took them to the local humane society for some vet
care because our rescue gets spec

it never caused her to go blind.

I have 2 diabetic kitties so yes, I have had 1 episode
like this...I don't have time to get into it right
this second but I would HIGHLY recommend you go to

Hi Deana,
Like you, I am new to this as well. My friend and I
rescued a momma kitty with 6 kittens and a 6 month old
boy. The boy turned up negative but the momma turned
up positive. We were told by other rescuers to have
all of them PTS, but my friend and I just couldn't do
it. We didn't feel
I love Samoyeds...I rescue and own American Eskimo's

My fellow rescuer/friend just called me to let me know
an organization in Chicago will take in all of our
babies with the momma. They have a whole room
dedicated for FeLV kitties and right now it is
empty...My friend was so happy about this but I am
kind of mixed and I not sure why...they will do

What do you put on their eyes? I was told to use
neosporin and it will clear up their eyes and it has
worked wonders with my kittens...their eyes are as
clear as they should be...

have a 6-7 month old boy in my basement I am trying to
nurse with a URI. He is on Clavimox/Amoxicilin I
think that is what it is called...it is a liquid...I
am also running a vaporizer for him 24 hours around

That is so good to hear that you have had cats do all
that and remain negative. I really want my neighbor
to be able to adopt this negative boy I am nursing

Hi Everyone,
I certainly hope I am doing this right...I am a member of other lists, but this
one appears different for some reason...anyway, my friend and I rescued 8
kittens last weekend. 2 were older kitties. 1 was a momma cat with 3 kittens
and 3 other kittens we had to give to her because
