This is my first posting. About a month ago, my fiancee and I found a cat by our apartment building. We put up signs asking if anyone is missing a cat and there was no reply. We took her in and took her to the vet. As it turns out, she has feline leukemia. She has been tested twice then and each

If it gets severe, shouldn't a vet be able to dose the cat with an

I agree with others, a second opinion from another vet is the way to go

Kristen,
Your vet's a putz. Fire them and find another. I can't help you much with the Felv, but the vomiting with a "once stray" isn't unusual. I'm betting when you fed her dry, she would open her mouth wide and just shove her face into the food, then you'd find it vomited up whole or
One of my cats vomits a lot from hairballs, even though the vomit just looks
like food and liquid. Giving her an inch of laxastat or Laxatone gel every
morning, which she licks up, helps enormously. She is FeLV+ but the vomiting

unrelated to that.
Other than that, vomiting can be related
I also would definitely look into getting feline interferon, which someone
else on this list was able to get from Europe and posted info today on how to
get the documents from her vet that were submitted to the FDA to get approval.
It seems to be a miracle drug, and we are all anxious to get
What sad news about Jelly Roll. From all the emails though, it's obvious
how much he was loved and will be missed.
All this sad news makes me want to go home and hug all my kitties.

I'm wondering if you know where that vet is based. I live in Toronto Canada
and am always looking for vets familiar with FELV.

I'd been afraid to ask. I broached the subject when I was at the vet's

Not much of an answer, but at least they didn't roll their eyes and tell
me to start hocking things. I just got off the phone with one of the
