Hi, Kanti:
* Depending on how you've defined the cross-reference formats to
capture the compound chapter-page numbers, you may find that modifying
the cross-reference formats and importing them across your books
works. (Back-up all files before experimenting.)

Hi Pat, something else you may want to take a look at is an eLearning session I
did a couple weeks ago on how to get the most out of the new User Interface in
FrameMaker 9. Many Frame users have found it useful as they look at the new
features in fm9, and here's the link to the recording:
Finding the correct font name is sometimes difficult, but making the entries
in maker.ini is easy. These two sets of instructions are embedded in
maker.ini:
[WindowsToFrameFontAliases]

; This section gives the Frame font name for a Windows font.
; The format is Windows_Font=Frame_Font
; Note
One of the drivers behind our decision for the Welcome Screen in FM9 came from
new users' feedback, who found themselves launching FrameMaker to a blank
screen and didn't know exactly where to start.
However I do agree that there should be a preference somewhere for turning it
off for more
I haven't trialled FM9 yet, but if the various tiny dialogue windows are
now (a) bigger and (b) resizable, those would be immense improvements.
Some are resizable, such as Add/Edit Condition Tag. They have enlarged many
of the fields in the various panels. It's definitely an improvement.
