and I can't find it when I do a 'pkg_add -rv fortune' or 'pkg_add -rv
fortune-mod'
The ones I find I am not interested in; such as:

Of course, all bets are off since the disk is already failing. The common
case is that the OP may get "most" of the files off in tact; probably not all.
Backups are important if you care about your data.

Steve, have a look at Webmin. You can create "client views" in the bind
module allowing a very granular access to specific domains. Access can be
limited to just the bind module, for specific clients, for specific domains,
from specific IP addresses if needed.

fxp0 instead of em0. By doing this, the kernel seems to send the data at

an can just type startx. However, for a "dummies style assistant" I would
suggest using kdm, which is the KDE system login (much akin to the windows
login screen). You can find info for this at:

partition, 12GB, and formatted as FAT32. FreeBSD was assigned the
remainder of the 50GB harddrive and assigned into Partition 2. I
installed WinXP first, then FreeBSD and allowed FreeBSD to install it's
multi-boot manager and I haven't had any problems with booting either
