Good morning everybody,
the FreeBSD raid monitoring website, which contains a lot information
regarding raid monitoring under FreeBSD, has a new home:
http://www.nico.schottelius.org/docs/freebsd-raid-monitoring/
If you've additional information or updates, please let me know
at nico-freebsd
what it is.
I put the log on
http://home.schottelius.org/~nico/unix/freebsd/bsdlabel-edit-notsave
Perhaps someone has an idea what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Stevan,
Question: Is there a possiblity to run the system inclusive patching
it, without rebooting? Goal is to run a system maybe longer than a
year!!!
Short answer: no.
Long answer: don't think like that. Uptime is not important. It is not
a pissing contest.

Hi Donald,
Nico - I suggest you try it again tomorrow. I thought I had it fixed

After cvsupping my ports tree, running portindex

building the entire index every time. So your first run will take quite

Maybe. ext2fs is supposed to be ext3fs with journalling, and ext2fs can
be mounted with mount_ext2fs. I could swear I've done this with ext3fs

IIRC, ext3 can only be mounted as ext2 as long as the partition is
