Just went and got an extra NIC card, and ordered static ip address and upgraded my
service. I have a quick question. If I am changing from dhcp to static is there
anything that I need to do in order to take advantage of static or to setup static?
Always had dhcp up until now. Not sure if I have
in this machine or do I move it to the machine that
will be acting as a firewall/router/gateway? How do I set this up? Still confused on
this part.

Hello. I am currently running FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE p-7. I am pretty comfortable with
FreeBSD for the most part and really enjoy using it on a day to day basis. This is my
thoughts. I have an older NEC PC that I would like to put to some use. First off I
don't know if I need any 'extra' hardware.
I've had a few problems on my FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE p-7 and did a re-install and fixed
everything I messed up. I just got done installing www/mozilla and did a chow -R
user:user .mozilla and ran 'mozilla' from the command line and I get the following
error
No running window found.

Well, I'm subscribed to the freebsd-questions mailing
list with my POP e-mail account but for some reason my
e-mails are not getting to the list. If someone could
help me figure out why this is happening please Cc:

please ignore this e-mail. I have been trying to send ANY e-mail to ANY of the
-freebsd mailing lists for the past weeks and haven't been able to yet. Maybe this one
will get there.

Hello. Now that I'm able to post to the -freebsd mailing lists I have
a questions. I am using FreeBSD 5.0-R with apache 1.3.27 and ddclient
3.6.2 installed. Here is my ddclient.conf file
daemon=300 # check every 300 seconds
syslog=yes
The server is running fine but when my ip changes the ddclient script
doesn't update it at dyndns.org so that means when my ip changes i
have to go to dyndns.org and update it myself and thats getting kinda
old ya know?

I have found many Mac wallpapers online that are in .sit format and I
was wondering if there was a way I could convert a .sit file to say a
.png file so I could use the image on freebsd 5?
thanks in advance
