I just reinstalled 6.1_RELEASE from ISO cd1 with XFCE4 an Xorg from t
sysinstall downloading from ftp.
After running xorgconfig using 'same as always' settings I run the test.
X -config /etc/X11/xorg.conf
I get this error

I have an old TCL/TK Script That I wrote several years ago that sends
data out of a serial port into a Radio Shack Pro-64 scanner. The program
basically programs the scanner with frequencies to listen to.
I cant figure out how to make it work in FreeBSD. The port must be

When I play a DVD with mplayer (usually with these options)
mplayer -brightness 9 -autosync 30 -dvd 1 /dev/dvd
I can play the DVD without ANY problems what so ever. The problem is
this. Say I just boot

I used FreeBSD 4.8 without any problems with GPGME + Sylpheed. This last
time using 4.8 I didn't install/configure gpgme + sylpheed but I did a
update to 4.9 and set this up but I get an error in Sylpheed saying
"Error could not find any key associated with currently selected key id
I really need to get printing working on FreeBSD 4.9. Let me say that
again. I got FreeBSD to print with my HP OfficeJet T 45 through CUPS.

If I try to start mozilla 1.5 with 'mozilla' and I select the profile
which is default for now and click Start Mozilla I get the following

Hi there,
I've recently installed v5.3 and am completely new to FreeBSD.
I downloaded and a driver for my adsl modem and, following the
instructions which came with the software, compiled the program.
In order to run it I tried to run one of the supplied scripts and got
the following error:
bash-2.
k DSL-200 USB ADSL modem
which as usual only has drivers for Windows.
This seems to be the only way to get connected with this device.
