Re: [Audyssey] Last Week was Adult Games

2012-01-08 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hey Thomas, yeah that's true about Jenny and Stacey. As for the bakery
girl, her name is Kelly, not Beth, but yeah, I can see how her kink can
be a turn off to many. However you wouldn't believe how many find that
sort of thing kinky. In fact, if you do a google search, you can find
recipes of things to make with it. After reading all the feedback I got
on the various girls, I found it interesting that people have liked all
of the characters over all. Some people liked a few and not others, and
others were totally opposite. For example, I got an email from someone
who didn't like Jenny at all because she was too close to real life. So
he instead liked the more less real characters. I think his favorite was
Andria from the jewelry stor. Then another player didn't like the fact I
had the black male of Holly with the accounting, yet someone else loved
her part the most. So, all in all, I'm glad I did a bit of an all around
set of characters. Part of that was because of how large the game ended
up being and I also wanted to not have too many characters share the
same traits in terms of personalities, physical looks, and ways of thinking.

The grand winner for most unbelievable character in the game, at least

Travis after he rubs her back and so on, but the entire bit with the

Have you tried the following:

1. Tell Monica about wedding

2. Tell Brooke about wedding.

3. Tell Page about wedding.

4. Tell Holly about wedding.

Since I don't know how far you have gotten or what all you have done, I
don't know what else to suggest. You will want to pay special attention
to what Monica says when you tell her about wedding.

Many thanks.

Hi. For any character you can start off by asking them about themselves
or about you or about wedding. There are some commands to help you get
started. I believe they are mentioned at the start of the game. If
memory serves, the commands, intro, unique, and hint should help you get

Phil, thanks for this. It's sad, but I didn't know this was there. I

entry is incomplete.

Way cool.

Thanks.

Last Week:
http://www.asmodean.net/games/LastWeek-1.2.zip

Riding Home:
http://www.asmodean.net/games/RidingHome-1.0.zip

Last Week is the big game and Riding Home was a mini-comp entry in the
2008 AIF games mini-comp contest. It came in third place. I also believe
that Last Week scored second or third place in the 2009 Erin awards for AIF.

Many thanks.

[Audyssey] Last Week version 1.2 released

2009-10-04 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hello everyone. I'm just letting you know that Last Week Before The
Wedding version 1.2 has now been released. I've just uploaded
LastWeek-1.2.zip to the files section of the aifarchive2 section of
yahoogroups. In addition, I've also uploaded it to the Adrift 4.0
section of the AIFCommunity.org site. If there are other places where
this game can go for download, feel free to upload it there as long as
it's allowed.

Even though a changes list is included inside the game zip archive, I'll
post some of the bigger ones here.

* Fixed some problems with not all the magazine stories always being
made available when they should have been.

* Fixed some inconsistencies with NPC conversations where the answers to
things were not always right depending on what actions you've done or
not done.

* Enhanced some of the cheat commands. -- Mainly the cheat which allows
you to obtain any object even if you haven't seen it.

* Lastly, probably the biggest change. The grocery store is gone. It was
not fair that some of the things you needed to find were things normally
found in grocery stores, yet you still told one of the NPCs to go to the
grocery store to get those things you couldn't get yourself. I'm talking
about toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, and shaving stuff here. So
the grocery store, has been morphed into a jewelry store which is
located in the mall where jewelry stores can usually be found. All
puzzles and game play related to Amanda and the grocery store has been
updated accordingly to use the jewelry store instead. The map space
formally occupied by the grocery store is now inhabited by a park.

* Because of the grocery store morphing into a jewelry store, the mall
has been remodeled a bit. There are now 4 inner quadrants in the mall
with the stores surrounding them. This area is the only area which
allows diagonal movement in the game. The mall directory has been
updated to show you an ASCII type of map of what stores are where.

If you were in the middle of a saved game of version 1.0, it will not
work for 1.2 because of the changes I'm afraid. So you would have to
start all over. However even though the game has this many changes, the
over-all game play style is the same. The changes were mainly done due
to the feedback on this list as well as private email, and of course, my
beta testers.

Now that this fixed/enhanced version is out, I'm hoping to move onto
other game projects.

Thanks to all for your support, and as always, enjoy the game.

Just because I'm hoping to be done with updates, it does not mean I
won't answer any game questions in case you are stuck, or in case you
find a bug which I forgot to fix.

Re: [Audyssey] Last Week help needed

2009-08-19 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
Hi, this won't help for now, but I am thinking what i can do is make it
so when keywords are enabled, not only are they bold and underlined, but
also surrounded by an underline at the beginning and at the end, as in
the word _keyword_ so that if you have punctuation enabled to say
underline or underscore, you can get them without having to change
attributes.

Many thanks.

what game is this?
Last Week.
I know you posted it last week but what is its name?
Last Week is its name.
So you posted the game's name last week, but what name did you say it was?
Last Week.
If I was to download the game what would the game say?
Last Week.
What would it say last week?
Last Week.
So if I was to play Last Week Last Week,
I would be a week ahead of everyone else?
That's if you downloaded and ran Last Week Last Week.
Oh, so the game's name is Last Week?
Yes.
But who's on first?

2009-08-18 Thread Raul A. Gallegos
I posted about it yesterday, or was it Sunday night, I can't remember.
You may want to check the archives. However it's an Adult Text Adventure
Interactive Fiction game written in Adrift version 4.00. While I am
happy to answer general questions about it to give people help, I ask
that no one post the adult related material questions to the list since
not everyone here would appreciate it and it would violate list guidelines.

Many thanks.

Hi, when keywords are enabled, they are bold and underlined. So if you
are using a screen reader, you will have to tell it to announce these
changes. With Window-Eyes you can do this by toggling attribute changes
to on. You can also have those changes show up in Braille. I don't know
how to do this with other screen readers. However, more importantly, the

If you already got the tuxedo receipt from Rachel, you are done as far
as getting what you need toward winning the game is concerned. The bit
about coming back for other measurements is just a tease and opening for
other possible branches off this game. So all you need is that receipt
and you are done with that part. There is something else you can get
from Rachel, but it's not necessary to win the game. It's done for
someone else in solving another puzzle.

Hope this helps.

[Audyssey] Last Week help needed

2009-08-18 Thread Orin
Hi all,

So far, I got into the dressing room. She tried measuring me, I did what I had
to do and she measured me in her special way, but. What after that? She said
something about coming back another time but also said something about being
measured more accurately or something. The "come back another time" suggested
to me that the scene had been over, so I tried something else, the only result
being a nice scene but nothing really happened as to get my tux.

I have the keywords and ready enabled. How do the keywords work, though, are
they like Blue Lacuna? I did have the keywords off though when Rachel happened
to have said that bit of dialog.

Thanks.
