It's sub-optimal compared to eselect compiler, x86_64 ld does not work with

Again, I don't think this is much of advantage compared to the disadvantages,
especially since I for one don't want to waste time on this if users starts
complaining. Sound has enough problems by itself.

don't see profiles that uses any of them. Nor you'll ever see them.
They are there mainly for developers' peace when they have to inspect RPMs or
DEBs (I actually do that often).
