Weird Something that I have seen on the list in the past is that if you have an on access virus scanner that is set to delete infected messages it can delete the MBX because it is one file. Maybe that is what happened, because of the huge volume of viruses over the last day or two

I've seen this happen because the mail address was sent that way from the mail client. Everytime, ime, the trailing "" was absent, the solution was at the mail client, not at Imail. I've seen people copy/paste a mail address into the mail client, slicing off the last , etc, etc. Len =

Jonas, The issue is that the sender is not being allowed to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]. Notice that there is a "" on the RCPT TO line, but not on the ERR line. It is nothing to do with the format of the message, but either the sender or recipient is causing the error. Only on the error line

Have you actually traced one of their messages back to the log file to see if it was delivered to its destination domain? I have had users say this on occasion and as long as I could provide a snip from the log showing it being delivered to the remote server they were off my case anyway. Dusty
