In addition to the Ctrl Y key stroke (repeat last function) in Excel
which stopped working with the initial release of JAWS 13, the most
recent update now no longer supports the keystroke Ctrl Shift 0 which
unhides columns. I have been working with FS on the Ctrl Y one and it
is still not fixed.
Although I would have no idea how, it seems with today's technology
there would be some type self powered device that could be plugged

Jim,
thanks for the feedback, I feel if all of us work on this we
will be able to give FS good feedback. I've sent two reports
so far on different issues

I just downloaded the trial version of MS Office 2010 Home
Student version. When I load an excel worksheet or open a
new one using the arrow keys as I normally do in excel
nothing is announced as to what cell I'm in or what the
content of the cell is. Same problem with using ctrl page up
or down,
about this.
HTH.

Greg,
Thanks so much for this, too complicated for tonight but
will tackle and try tomorrow. You said you did try this and
it still didn't work? Hm

Patti,
Tried this nifty program but didn't work too well on my
backup 750 GB USB backup drive. I had 13 directories on it
before installing the eject.exe file and running it. The
message said it was safe to disconnect or unplug the drive.
I did this and next time I plugged it in to check it I
Greg,
First, if I remember, your are using Office 2007, correct? I
finally did successfully download a trial version of Office
2010 thanks to your directions. Anyway by your descriptions,
you must be using the traditional MS ribbons and not the
JAWS ribbon feature, correct? Now to your question.
Can't remember the new key stroke FS assigned in JAWS 12 to
virtualized a window so the text contents can be copied
thanks
Al

I would think so. I have Office 2010 Home Student version
and 2000 both installed while learning 2010

I remember when I was working a trick I did with Excel 2000
was to use ctrl G and then enter a column/row coordinate
(i.e. A5). What this accomplishes is it places the cursor
in the row and cell of a column I know was hidden. Even
though not visible on the screen the cursor would go there
Don,
Don't undo what you have fixed but couldn't you have done
the following:
1. Uninstall office 2007
2. Install Office 2007 using the custom install and only
choose Outlook to install
3 import your old mail and settings from your Outlook.pst
file that was left after the uninstall
4. Install
David,
I'm sure they continue to make improvements and you are
probably benefiting from that. Wondering if folks are having
similar results with Outlook 2007 and 2010?

Rose,
Just started using Office 2010 and am using the JAWS ribbon
approach as I was unable to tell where I was the other way.
My understanding was the Ribbon choice with JAWS gave you
logical access to all choices, am I not correct in that
assumption?

David,
I notice I have several dot net framework (different
versions and service packs) listed in my add/remove
programs. How do I know which programs rely on these and
what do they do?

After I finish my evaluation period of Office 2010 I will be
installing Outlook 2010 as my email client as well. This
will replace Outlook 2000 which I currently use. For those
of you that are using Outlook 2007 or 2010 with the Ribbons
have you found certain settings that make it more JAWS
or going
to go. Never mind, that's what you get when you want to
upgrade, thinking
you're going to handle it, like I thought I was. Kimmie.
