Your database probably has a locking file left behind from the crash. Simply use Windows/File Explorer to locate the folder in which your database file is stored. Look for a small 1K file with the same name but has a .LDB file extension. Do NOT delete your main database file. Now try Legacy again.

I think you stumbled upon a slight bug...at least in my opinion. I started by adding an unknown gender child to myself. Strangely, Legacy shows the relationship to me as a SON as I view the unknown gender child. So that's the start of the bug. I then changed the gender from unknown to FEMALE.
