mentions) that lists which ones do have notes.
and use that for reference (for the RIN Number) to edit one by one.

Sherry gave a very good answer under 'SOLUTION' below.
Perhaps you have already moved your file to Legacy and now have discovered
the 'broken words' in the notes. If this is the case you can start over
using Sherry's
imported to Legacy then you
can do the same on the main file. That could speed things up a little.

middle of a word at the end

It sounds like you're using List rather than Sentence. You need to select
the Sentence option on the Format tab under the Event Narrative
Formatting button.
