I was just using it as an example. Check out my blog entry on Monday,
6 February about GPL, open source and selling source code.
SVEASoft and others are discussed. http://geoffstechno.livejournal.com/

if a customs agent does not care to listen, you can't convince them.

The trouble with being a futurist is that when people get around to believing
you, it's too late. We lost. Goog
Weizmann and commutes daily. My wife sees
his about once every two weeks.
If you are that person and still want the tapes, I can send you a box
or two of unused Sony DDS-3 DAT tapes for free. You will have to arrange
to get them yourself from my friend at Weizmann.

dropped packets due to buffer full, TCP should
not. In the end if the packets are dropped, then the receiver will wait
for them and after a time out, ask for them to be retransmitted.
That's the problem, the wait time needs to me a few miliseconds, not a
TCP timeout.

The trouble with being a futurist is that when people get around to
technical support, I
found that the latency of a cable modem connection was much higher
than that of an aDSL line.

The trouble with being
the public, you are not required to make them GPLed.
But where does it say it in the GPL? Saying one thing in the "philosophy"
section of a website, does not make it part of the license. I don't
doubt that's the intent, it's just not the license.

Samba is a great product and it has been around for a
ource software. The product not only has to work, but it has to work
well and continue to work.
I would not try to fight examples like this, IMHO it makes more sense
to show what you are offering is well supported, reliable and works well,
not that it's cheaper.

The trouble with being a futuri

I expect that since Skype runs on a NAT'ed machine behind a firewall, not
much, but a router would not be.

How many do you need and do they need to be identical? I'm sure if you
ask around you can find plenty of them in junk bins.

Note that a Celleron 500 is not that poor a performer. The early
cellerons were real dogs, by the time the 500 came out they were
decent performers.
