minimal depends, but you have
to be carefull, because sometimes some recommended packages are very
useful, and so not installed if you use --no-install-recommends. I don't
think we need other type of installation, unless I miss a use case :)

If you can use gvfs-ls or gvfs-* commands to handle smb:// paths, then it's a
bug of pcmanfm.
Otherwise, gvfs or other stuff is not correctly configured under lubuntu.

Well, it seems that modesetting is not supported for this card, but ISO
can't run without modestting :(
You could report a bug against xserver-xorg-video-ati package, there is
clearly something wrong with this situation.

, are you using xcompmgr for your tests ? Do you test without
it ? Maybe it's a driver regression using xcompmgr (and so compositing).
