For an obscure reason Lyx (even the new version 1.7) doesn't want to
work anymore because it can't use latex.

For an obscure reason Lyx (even the new version 1.7) doesn't want to
work anymore because it can't use latex.
$ ./configure
checking for a LaTeX2e program... (latex latex2e)
