You'll make both your lives a lot easier if you can convince hime to use
LyX/Win to edit your thesis. He doesn't need a LaTeX distribution to edit

I'm having trouble exporting my thesis to HTML, so that my supervisor can read
it in an editable format (he uses MS Word). Exporting to HTML seems to do a
pretty good job except that the images aren't displayed. There are no images
in the locations that are linked to from the
