Thank you, Paul. I used Jabref to create a .bib file and used Insert
List/TOC... to put it into Lyx. However, for multiple authors, the
names are screwed up in the reference and only the first author is
listed in the cite. For example, there are three authors of this JoF
article -
I have Lyx 1.56 running on OSX10.4
I have seen on various other posts stating that the mac.bind file is located
within the lyx.app bundle. I can locate the file with the preferences part
of lyx but if I do a search for it I cannot find it. I don't know how to
copy it if I can't get to it with

I figured it out! In Jabref, for multiple authors, you have to
separate each author's name with and . I was putting each author's
name on a separate line. I guess you need to know a little Bibtex!!!

1- Add a math environment
2- Press the Insert delimiters button.
3- Click on the Keep matched checkbox.
4- Click on the (none) delimiter on the left side and the } on the
right side.
5- Click on the Insert button.
6- Click on the Close button.
7- Click on the Insert matrix button.

I understand you related to Windows - Linux. But now I have to solve it on
Windows.
I used the own uninstall process of LyX. and I checked that all LyX related
folders disappeared from C:\Program Files and C:\Documents and
Settings\salat\Application Data. Can I make it more effective?

pick User Interface. There should be a text box labeled Bind File, and a
default installation of LyX should have mac by default. If you hit

I installed LyX1.6.0RC2 on my Windows XP machine, accepting all the
defaults. I then made a 20x20 icon named font-code.png and put it in
C:\Program Files\Lyx16\Resources\images (and also in an images
subdirectory of my UserDir) and tried to add the following to the Standard
toolbar section
Never mind... I was looking at old documentation, and too dumb to check
that font-code was actually a command.

\jobname almost works. The problem is that the filename has spaces and
