Hi
I would like to make a quotation for a project I am going to do, and I would
like to do it in LyX.
I have seen the "invoice" LaTeX package, but didn't manage to get it to work
in LyX.
Are there any tips on how I can create a quotation in LyX?
Thanks,
Rainer

OK - here is a small table, everything default, with that behavior.
You can check from here, so the problem is not your document.
Check http://www.latex-community.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=558&p=1903

Also, start small: normal document class, one longtable with footnote - does
it work? Change the document class - does it still work? And continue until
you have your sample document.
If you report back where it fails, you
ny (and doubt they are
useful).

I remember that I had a script which did that (convert pdf to picture, add
slides with one ex-pdf per page and bundle to ppt), but I can't find it.

Had to run

I was seting up a new converter, and it happened that during trying it out,
the background view / export just hung and I could not quit LyX - I had to

Is there any way to "gracefully" abort an export / view?

Thanks for the trick.
Just something more: I used for the preamble in LyX a separate file

So I had to change the preamble only once, and it was always in all

If it changes, let it play a sound or give a message box.
You don't have to monitor all files on your HDD...

solutely agree - this would make life so much easier: you can write
in LyX, export sematically to doc / odt and do the formating in word /

Definitely a priority.

Sounds like a reasonable solution - but would it be then a major step to
put the first 10 words into variables which could then be assembled

this case, one might be able to limit the number of formating
options to e.g. 10, and if further fine-tuning is necessaary, it needs to be
done by hand (in a kind of ert box in LyX) in the editor. Together with a
display on how the format would look, that would be brilliant.
