hey all, as anyone who uses VO on the mac will know not many things are as annoying as the 1 row added message. My idea is crude and not ideal but it is the only thing I can think of. If I was to make a new definition in voice-over dictionary i could put the 1 row added and tell VO to say

Chime or some outher sound would be preferable. However, I cannot recall just now but when I started using the Mac, I did ask about an alternative to some speech info and all I can recall is David Griffiths telling me where I could insert a sound instead. If only I could recall what this was

Ah yes Michael, I found my notes, it referred to a mis spelt word where one could alter this info to a sound which is less intrusive so your suggestion surely must be a possability regarding the one row added. This change would also be helpful in terms of e-mails when we get the same

I had this problem also.I found the dictate key on the virtual keyboard to the left of the and double tap this.then a box popped up with different options and I double tapped on the options dictate.I then went back and tried it out doing that to finger double tap and the dictation works fine.
