as anyone who uses VO on the mac will know not many things are as annoying as
the 1 row added message.
My idea is crude and not ideal but it is the only thing I can think of.
If I was to make a new definition in voice-over dictionary i could put the 1
row added and tell VO to say
Chime or some outher sound would be preferable. However, I cannot recall
just now but when I started using the Mac, I did ask about an alternative to
some speech info and all I can recall is David Griffiths telling me where I
could insert a sound instead. If only I could recall what this was

I found this by pure accident. If you ever want to log into Terminal as root,
all you have to do is this:
1. Open up /Applications/Utilities/terminal.app

Try an scp. the kicker is the way in which the remote server is handled. but try
scp filename.txt user@remotehost:path/to/filename.txt
I can't remember what to do about spaces as quotes do not work at least for me.
